Weaver's Bamboo is more of an open clumping bamboo (culms have some space between them) with a large number of strong thick-walled tall, straight culms. The long, slender leaves have an attractive Asian appearance and low branches help for privacy screen applications.  

Established culms have thick walls, making this bamboo very strong for its diameter.  Once dried, the mature harvested canes become sturdy poles that can have a number of uses.
